When the thread is inserted, it passes through the tissue in one direction. Once in place, gentle traction causes the barbs to catch the tissue and hold it at the new, lifted position.
The mechanism is both mechanical and biological. Mechanically, the barbs create an immediate suspension. Biologically, the thread itself triggers a response that stimulates fibroblast activity along its entire length. As the thread dissolves over months, collagen is deposited in its place, creating a lasting structural improvement.

Treatment Experience
